Where does your leather come from?
We are an Australian owned and operated business based in the small town of Broome, Western Australia. All of our products are designed right here in our warehouse, however we do outsource the manufacturing overseas to Indonesia where we support local families in ethical and conscious work practices. Our leather is a bi-product of the meat industry and we only use leather hides that originate from ethical conditions.
How do I protect my BARE leather?
Bare products are hand crafted from the best quality full grain leather, making each item unique. Leather of course is a natural raw material with individual characteristics and with use, will fade, darken, stretch and mark over time which is all part of its natural charm.
To keep your Bare piece looking beautiful, we highly recommend leather protection to extend the life of the leather along with applying a natural leather conditioner regularly. We make our very own BARE Leather Conditioner right here in Broome (with the help of some very talented bees), and it is the safest and most effective way to protect your leather.
We apply it to your item before it leaves our warehouse, and believe you should apply as needed to keep your leather looking as beautiful as possible.
There are plenty of excellent natural leather conditioners out there, so get your hands on one to increase the longevity of your bag.Store your leather in a dust bag when not in use, and avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, rough surfaces and moisture. Heavily dyed clothing may result in colour transfer. Pen and Ink related objects are extremely hard to remove so take care when around these items. In extreme cases, such as ink stains, we recommend taking your products to a leather specialist.
I purchased a faulty item from a stockist, can you still help me?
Please email shop@bareleather.com.au with images of the fault and proof of purchase and we will do absolutely everything we can to assist. We want you to love your Bare goodies!
